Logistics Director

 A logistics director must have a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management for coordinating effectively and liaise with the suppliers, vendors and retailers. They have to be aware of the various external influences on logistics movement.

Job Duties:

  • Drive and facilitate the organization’s strategy for cultivating a fully engaged logistics workforce.
  • Ensure that effective and robust logistics related security, safety, and regularity employee training programs are taken up.
  • Develop of quality assurance SOP and internal process flow.
  • Evaluate and review the organization’s logistics operation business practices, develop process documentation and streamline opportunities
  • Effective manage the costs and revenues from business perspective.
  • Prepare annual business plan and departmental budget.
  • Ensure proper manpower utilization, improve effectiveness and efficiency of operations in logistics and warehouse management
  • Build and maintain effective business relationship with clients, and ensure long-term business and revenue growth.
  • Understand client needs and anticipate the responds and changes appropriately.
  • Build and direct a cohesive team of internal and external personnel to effectively carry out logistics team duties;
Requirements:
  • Bachelors’ degree holder in logistics management or commerce with accounts or finance as major
  • Over seven years’ experience in logistics management and three years’ experience in managing logistics staff.
  • Have a strong business mindset
  • Have leadership abilities;
  • Can withstand work pressure and have high sense of responsibility.
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good experience in operational planning, risk assessment, able to independently plan and execute related promotion and marketing activities;
  • Strong negotiation skills
