Front Office Manager/Hotel Manager – Pre Opening

REPORTS TO:

  • Directors

JOB SUMMARY:
  • As Hotel Manager, you will oversee the Front Office team and Housekeeping team to deliver the guest experience in accordance to the company’s standards.
  • Key responsiblities of the role include:
  • Manage day-to-day operations and assignments of the hotel; Ensure Front Office team is prepared and well-informed to deliver an exceptional experience from the minute that guest enter the hotel. Ensure Housekeeping team upkeep the appearance and cleanliness of the hotel.
  • Ensure that product and service quality standards are met in all areas of the hotel as relating to appearance, levels of maintenance and cleanliness; establishing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs to protect the assets of the hotel.
  • Evaluate guest satisfaction level and monitor trends with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Maximise room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
  • Achieve productivity and quality goals by establishing performance goals for employees and providing regular feedback. Ensure all staff are properly trained and equipped with the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
  • Initiate salary, disciplinary or other staff related actions in accordance with company rules and policies.
  • Ensure a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
  • Alert regional management of serious issues at the earliest opportunity

What you should possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in hotel
  • a degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent
  • Good command of spoken & written English
  • High level of IT proficiency
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experienced in managing and developing people
  • Accountable, resilient and with good sense of task prioritization
  • Passion for delivering an exceptional level of guest service
  • Ablility to multi-task and display grace when under pressure and able to manage with strong self initiative
  • A keen eye for details
  • Excellent grooming standards
  • Flexibility to respond to a variety of work situations
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of a team
  • Ablility to be outstationed for extended period of time
  • Ability and willingness to work night, weekends and/or holidays occasionally.
