The hotel has a members only club called Casa Macau Roosevelt, which consists of an indoor restaurant, outdoor terrace, lounge, wine cellar & lounge, pool and cabanas.
To handle the overall management of Reservations Department.
To assist Management in increasing the Hotel’s profitability.
To assist guests in order to make their stays at The Macau Roosevelt comfortable and memorable.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND MEANS
To have a positive attitude towards work.
To be self-disciplined and self-motivated.
To set a good working example for all sub-ordinates.
To handle the daily organization of the section.
To ensure efficient handling of all reservations.
To ensure that staff practice the procedures and work methods in accordance with hotel objectives and that staff adhere to hotel rules and regulation in order to monitor staff’s discipline and performance.
To encourage and motivate staff by using supervision skills effectively.
To plan working schedule, day off and vacant for staff.
To ensure that departmental expenditure is minimized to essential items.
To ensure the rate programs / promotion are regularly updated
To ensure all commissions payable are tracked accurately
To develop and maintain an efficient filing system for all correspondences for easy access and retrieval
To control and maintain efficiently the room inventory in order to maximise room sales, room revenue, and occupancy.
To provide and control future availability status accurately.
To give current update on reservation trends and forecasts for current and future dates.
To monitor that reservations are handled and processed accurately and efficiently and to review periodically the organization chart to ensure efficient work-flows.
To monitor that all inquiries via telefax, e-mail or mail are replied within 24 hours.
To monitor guest service personnel constantly in order to ensure that at all times maximum guest satisfaction is being achieved through guest recognition and prompt cordial attention.
To ensure that all staffs have the most accurate and up to date information to provide to guests and customers at all times.
To monitor that “no-show” list is followed up and group list is washed down daily.
To monitor that the proper computer input procedures are carried out, in accordance with rate code, market code, source code and channel code in order to ensure that statistic figures are recorded accurately.
To update corporate rates/Travel Agents / Casino rates and daily allotments in the computer system.
To supervise that staff files all reservations, contract rate, corporate rate and other correspondence daily according to date/month/year.
To supervise all advance deposit and co-ordinate with the Accounts Dept. as per policies and procedures.
To maintain a courteous relationship with companies, travel agent and all guests.
To issue weekly / monthly forecast to the respective departments about occupancy levels
To actively participate in the three months forecast updated on monthly basis, covering market segment breakdown by dividing into Room Nights, ADR.
