Simtech is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software Technician & Installer based in Macau. This role is responsible for the configuration, commissioning, and support of LED display systems across casinos and commercial environments. You will work across software, media players, LED controllers, and on-site system setup, with occasional installation support when required. The position collaborates closely with Australian technicians and APAC project teams to ensure every display operates reliably, efficiently, and to Simtech’s technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

LED Software, Configuration & Commissioning

• Install, configure, and commission LED controllers, sender/receiver cards, media players, and running hardware across all casinos within Macau (Sands, Galaxy, Melco, Wynn SJM + more)
• Conduct content mapping, brightness/colour adjustments, and system optimisation across jackpot signage, ETG stadiums and custom LED installations.
• Perform diagnostics and resolve issues related to software settings, hardware failure, cabling, or configuration errors.
• Assist in setting up and managing Simtech’s internal media controller systems.
• Ensure all systems meet Simtech standards before handover.

Technical Support & Maintenance

• Provide on-site and remote support to casino technical teams across Macau.
• Troubleshoot LED faults, controller failures, communication issues, and playback inconsistencies.
• Document system configurations, installation notes, network settings, and maintenance logs.
• Support scheduled and unscheduled service visits to maintain uptime across installations.
• Respond to occasional after-hours or weekend callouts with overtime allowance.

Installation Support

• Assist with physical installation tasks when required, including LED module swaps, cabling, fibre/ethernet routing, and rack equipment setup.
• Conduct pre-installation checks, site measurements, and system testing.
• Ensure all on-site works meet WHS, casino, and venue compliance requirements.

Collaboration & Project Support

• Work closely with the Project Manager – APAC and Australian technical teams to ensure seamless delivery of projects.
• Attend site surveys and client walk-throughs to identify technical requirements.
• Support regional projects on short trips to the Philippines, Vietnam, and Singapore.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and casino stakeholders to ensure project clarity and progress.

Requirements & Skills

• Macau ID holder (mandatory).
• Mid-level to senior technical experience in LED systems, hardware, or AV-related fields.
• Strong understanding of LED controllers (Novastar, Colorlight, Linsn or similar), media players, and display hardware.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve LED and software issues under real-time pressure.
• High attention to detail, organized documentation habits, and strong follow-through.
• Excellent communication skills for client-facing support within casinos.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with cross-regional teams.
• Basic networking understanding (IP addressing, LAN setup) is beneficial but not essential.
• Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to adapt in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working inside Macau casinos (highly preferred).
• Background in LED display commissioning, digital signage systems, AV integration, or electronics.
• Familiarity with installation logistics, troubleshooting methods, and technical constraints in casino environments.
• Ability to accurately log and track records of works completed
• Exposure to coordinating with international technical teams (Australia, Philippines, Vietnam, Singapore).
