The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) is currently looking to fill the following vacancy in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH):

Assistant Professor/Associate Professor (Ref. No.: FAH-AP84)

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Perform academic duties, including but not limited to teaching modules in the Bachelor of Portuguese-Chinese Translation Studies;
2. Work on R&D projects via design and submission of proposals to funding bodies such as FDCT, DSEDJ, and the Macao Foundation;
3. Publish regularly in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences;
4. Work with the Department of Languages and Culture on the development of pedagogical and scientific activities;
5. Contribute to the development of programme revision for the quality assurance and enhancement;
6. Support research activities and foster collaboration with international partnerships.

Requirements:
1. PhD Degree in Translation and Interpretation Studies, or related fields;
2. Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in Higher Education;
3. Specialise in Portuguese-Chinese translation;
4. Strong record of academic research and publications, funded research grants, and experience in project development and management;
5. Proficiency in Portuguese, Chinese and English;
6. Macao ID holder is preferable.

Salary and benefits will be commensurable with the qualifications and experience of candidates.
