POSITION SUMMARY

The Administrator - Network Service Delivery will play a key role in administrating the organisation network infrastructure environment and future network expansion of GEG properties. The role will design, build, implement and maintain network systems across the enterprise. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, securing, maintaining, supporting, and optimising all local and wide area network connections, associated software, and communication links.

As second level technical support, the role will troubleshoot network related incidents and issues, analyzing network traffic and optimizing network performance. Effective communication with System and Network team members as well as business
stakeholders will be required during system and network infrastructure solutions integration, network enhancement and expansion projects.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

'. Monitoring and analyzing network performance across the organization's LAN, WAN and wireless deployments.
. Ensure stable, secure, and efficient performance of corporate networks.
. Plan and implement any improvement, modification, or replacement of network infrastructure components.
. Monitor system capacity to determine the impact on performance and recommend enhancements to meet new or changing network demands.
. Identify and remedy network performance bottlenecks.
. Install and configure all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches,
hubs, and firewall appliances.
. Inspect, maintain, and where necessary, replace network cabling, voice/data sockets and other network-related equipment.
. Ensure healthy network and IP connectivity of all workstations, application servers, and back-end office infrastructure.
. Assist the Network Manager to plan and co-ordinate the budget for network hardware and software procurement.
. Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
. Develop and implement policies for network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory, related documentation, and technical specifications.
. Develop and implement network system policies, procedures, and facilitate training for
knowledge base transfer and information resources associated to lS&T support work. Prepare requirements for statement of works and service level agreements.
Report all conducts of works with integrity, transparency and honesty.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical Knowledge and Skills:
. Proven knowledge and experience in network equipment technologies including firewalls, switches, hubs, and routers.
. Hands-on technical knowledge of network systems, protocols, and standards such as Ethernet, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, xDSL, TI, 802.IIx, etc.
. Knowledge of network management and analysis tools.
. Client/server and operating system experience in Windows Server and VMware system environments.
. Network application support experience including Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft lIS, and Microsoft SQL Server.
. Knowledge of current network protocols and network industry standards including TCP/IP, GRE, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, PPTP, IPsec, SSL, IMAP, POP3, ICMP, SSH, SMB, and LDAP.
. Experience working in a mission critical switched and network routed environment.
. Basic knowledge of anti-virus software, intrusion detection systems, and other network security preventive measures.
. Proven hands-on network troubleshooting experience.
. Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Qualifications:
. At least 5 years professional experience as a network administrator or as a network analyst.
. Possess broad knowledge of infrastructure, enterprise networking and systems.
. Experience in the gaming and hospitality industry preferred but not mandatory.
. Able to communicate effectively with peer group and senior management.
. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
. Proven long term career engagement in areas of expertise.
. Certification in data network related specialties will be an added advantage.
