Manager - Event Services

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Report to Vice President, Arena Operations, Event Service Manager is the key support to Event Service EM on arena event operations, the team works closely with other key executives to implement and execute strategic and operational plans for Galaxy Arena. Event Service Manager is the key person to operate Merchandize, Back of House Dressing rooms, green rooms, ticketing box office liaison, F&B concessions liaison and back of house catering liaison of arena events.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for event preparation and arrangement.
  • Manage and direct subordinates to carry out the event services set-up and provide support to events held in Arena
  • Assures that all event set-ups shall comply with statutory requirements in fire safety and building safety
  • Develop, execute and ensure at all times the crowd management and queuing plan are implemented in arena
  • Develop, update and maintain all Standard Operating Procedures including the Show Cancellation procedures
  • Assisting Event Service EM to ensure all front line supporting staff, i.e. houseman, ushers, greeters, cleaners, security and any other part timers perform excellence service at all time
  • Assisting Event Service EM to liaison on technical and logistics arrangement with Arena Technical team and external production stakeholders to make sure technical and operations aspects are coordinated and aligned at all time
  • Assisting Event Service EM to plan and coordinate event credentials and access planning with Security dept.
  • Key Merchandizing liaison with promoters and internal supporting departments
  • Leading the planning and coordinate with stakeholders for Arena backstage area setup and deployment
  • Assisting Event Service EM to prepare all event relevant documents and brief, share and communicate with all related stakeholders
  • Assisting Event Service EM to plan and execute crisis protocols

REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 5 years of Event Services and Venue Operations experience within a similar venue. Experience in Arena and Entertainment industry is an advantage
  • 2 years+ of concrete working experience in a managerial role
  • Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Program or equivalent is preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Manage to work under pressure and extensive hours
  • Self-driven, strong presentation, communication, and problem solving skills
  • Good team player with analytical and innovative ideas
  • Organize and good interpersonal skills
