Account Manager
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Ensure associates in the team possess appropriate levels of professional knowledge and experience in the type of services which he or she provides to clients.
- To provide professional insurance advice and day to day service to support retention and development of the business.
- Identify the risk exposures and advise on insurance and risk management solutions in consultation with direct report.
- Effective and timely management of all renewals to ensure completion by the due date.
- Provision of support to management and other client service team members in the overall servicing of the client’s insurance programme.
- Obtain quotations both for new and renewal business as required.
- Preparation of market and client documentation.
- Process accounting entries in accordance with Lockton standards.
- Check policy documentation for accuracy prior to issue to the client.
Qualification and Experience
- Tertiary education with minimum 5 years of work experience in general insurances in a broker firm or an insurance company. (with less than 5 years may be considered as Account Executive).
- Passed the relevant exams.
- Need to comply with the requirements of Continuing Professional Development Program.
- A good understanding of the general principles of insurance.
- Experience in dealing with clients, especially on a “face to face” basis to conduct meetings, seminars and/or briefings.
- Experience in preparing a broking presentation that accurately reflecting the cover required and meets the clients’ demands and needs.
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with clients, insurers and other associates.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential (knowledge of mandarin will be an advantage).
