Assistant Commercial Controller
Job Summary:
The Assistant Commercial Controller will play a key role in shaping and executing the commercial strategy for designated categories. The role focuses on understanding customer needs, optimizing category performance through data-driven decisions, and driving business growth. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional initiatives, manage supplier partnerships, and coach team members to achieve commercial excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
• Understand customer needs and translate insights into actionable category strategies—including range, space, buying, and pricing—to maximize customer satisfaction and category performance.
• Drive change and spearhead new initiatives, ensuring effective implementation of business plans in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Leverage market data, analytics, and category insights to identify business opportunities and support sustainable company growth.
• Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers, employing strong negotiation tactics to optimize trading terms.
• Initiate and lead projects to improve merchandising processes, ensuring transparency and efficiency within the team.
• Lead, coach, and nurture team members to foster a culture of category management excellence and continuous improvement.

Requirements:
• Degree holder in Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Holder of Macau ID
• Minimum 12 years of solid experience in the retail and FMCG industry, with a strong track record in category management or commercial roles.
• Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a high level of category and customer focus.
• Data-driven decision maker with strong planning and analytical skills, and an openness to change and continuous improvement.
• Proven ability to plan and deliver results across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in both English and Chinese.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to build and nurture high-performing teams.
• Proven experience in supplier negotiation and partnership management.
• A collaborative team player with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.
