Position Summary: Reporting to the Manager - the Procurement Senior Officer/Officer is responsible to provide support to the Managers, to conduct Low Value Sourcing of new products for the designated area, to prepare bid sheets and conduct price updates in line with the Bid Sheet Calendar and the instruction of Category Manager. The incumbent shall handle the purchase requests and execute price update activities according to the agreed Policy and SOP of GEG Procurement. The incumbent shall apply analytical skills and show attention to detail in order to qualify quotations from vendor before Bid Analysis Review (BAR) preparation. The incumbent shall also have the ability to identify irregularities in the BAR. Primary Responsibilities: 1. Handle Low Value Sourcing of new products by conducting RFQs 2. Issue POs and expedite goods deliveries 3. Renew system price according to the agreed Bid Sheet Calendar schedule 4. Prepare bid sheets by drawing historical consumption from the system 5. Prepare and maintain the pre-approved vendor list 6. Liaise with commodity teams to confirm details on bidder list prior to execution of bidding process 7. Conduct bidding process according to Procurement Policy and SOP 8. Review bid price submissions and identify potential irregularities 9. Verify price from vendors where irregularities are identified 10. Prepare draft Bid Analysis Review (BAR) 11. Generate Exception reporting and list of other items requiring referral, and submit for follow up by Commodity Teams 12. Prepare MCRF to create new codes for Low Value Sourcing /to update prices of existing items and submit to Material Specialist for further process 13 Additional responsibilities and not limited to the above list Requirements: - Degree in Finance, Hotel Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Food Science or equivalent. (those with no degree but with extensive working experience will also be considered) - At least 1 year solid experience in sizable hospitality or related industry in procurement - Some understanding of local markets and how they operate - Work experience in procurement systems preferred. Proficiency in MS Office - Proficiency in Traditional Chinese and English, oral and written - Senior Officer: at least 2-year experience in hospitality or related industry with procurement skills - High integrity with proactive personality - Able to communicate with internal users and suppliers - Follow instruction and willing to learn
