The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) is currently looking to fill the following vacancy in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH): Assistant Professor/Associate Professor (Ref. No.: FAH-AP77) Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Perform academic duties, including but not limited to teaching modules at the undergraduate and master level of Communication and Media; 2. Work on R&D projects via design and submission of proposals to the DSEDJ, and Macao Foundation funding bodies; 3. Publish regularly in Peer-Reviewed Publications and International Conferences; 4. Work with the Department of Media, Art and Technology (DMAT) on the development of Pedagogical and Scientific Activities; 5. Work on the development of Programme Revision and Accreditation for the Quality Assurance and Enhancement; 6. Assist in research and collaboration with International partnerships. Requirements: 1. PhD Degree in specialized fields related to Digital Media and Communication, such as Visual and Media studies, Film and Media, Media Art and Culture, Media Industries, or Global Media; 2. At least 5 years of professional experience in relevant Media industry; 3. At least 3 years of lecturing experience in tertiary education institutes; 4. Experience in media-based tools, including video or sound post-production, visual effects and 3D content; 5. Good track record of Peer-Reviewed publications, funded research grants, Research & Development, and Project Development and Management; 6. Fluency in industry-standard Media, Audiovisual equipment and software, including emerging media technologies; 7. Awards for media/art projects, research and publications are valued; 8. Proficiency in English; 9. Macao ID holder is preferable. Salary and benefits will be commensurable with the qualifications and experience of candidates.
