Legal Counsel – Legal & Compliance Department

Responsibilities:

Provide legal advice and solutions to ensure the bank complies relevant laws and regulations
Draft and review agreements and legal documents
Formulate and review policies and procedures in relation to legal issues
Participate in projects and new product development to identify legal issues
Advise relevant stakeholders on local and global regulatory developments with an impact on the bank’s business
Manage external legal counsels as may be necessary
Provide legal support to the business in the bank
Perform and ad-hoc assignments as required

Requirements:

Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years PQE.
Prior experience in providing guidance to financial institutions would be advantageous
Knowledge of personal data protection issues.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Able to work independently and with other functional specialists in completing projects.
Good command of English and Chinese
