This position is responsible for overseeing Asia Pacific Region accounting operations, global FG AP payments and supplier financial management, maintaining internal controls, managing budget & forecast activities, fixed assets control, management reporting & analysis, local tax filing, and continuous improvement - Lead general accounting teams, global finished goods supplier Accounts Payable team and Credit team. Take decisions in relation with Helen of Troy Macao, Helen of Troy Shenzhen (including Ningbo and Shanghai branches), Helen of Troy Vietnam and Osprey Vietnam accounting activities and report to corporate Accounting & Finance leader on critical operational issue - Adapt Corporate Accounting processes, methods and tools where and when necessary, in the meantime comply with local specific regulations - Proactively research and look for information published online in order to prepare for accounting change or adopt new accounting standards - Responsible for continuously improving the design and implementation of the Internal Control Systems (ICS) across HOTMO and its subsidiaries, covering all departments. Ensures Department Heads are accountable for their area of ICS. Set a rotation plan for testing the Design and Implementation (D&I) of internal control procedures. - Define Financial competencies for committing and signing-off throughout the HOTMO organization. Align as much as possible with Corporate Finance’s guidelines. - Define Credit Limits policy based on good understanding of HOT business and decide on exceptions when necessary, within set limits. Make rational decisions in relation with HOTMO Credit & Collection activities covering all Brands sold to China domestic market or direct import in other regions. - Define and follows-up on SMART objectives for Direct reports and ensure these objectives are properly cascaded down the organization. Engage in career development planning with direct reports to foster continuous improvement - Publish and continually develop internal management reporting of operation expenses with focus on measuring productivity, uncovering efficiencies, and facilitating management control of expenses - Lead budget & forecast activities of APO, responsible for process control and management reporting, manage data load and on time submission to corporate - Lead the establishment, review and validation of the local statutory Financial Statements. Ensure all Corporate Finance approvals are received before filing - Lead the establishment, review and validation of the local Tax return. Ensure all Corporate Tax approvals are received before filing. Follows-up of Tax installment payments - Engage in multinational or cross BU projects, provide financial insights related to system control and process efficiency Education, Qualification and training • University Degree, Master degree preferred or major in related profession • Certification in Accounting (i.e. CICPA) Experience or skills required • At least 12 years relevant accounting experience with 5 years in managerial role and strategic decision-making. • Experience of people manager leading multi location teams with more than 15 associates • Working experience in a similar size sourcing organization, with international and Greater China exposure and familiar with Finance and Accounting operation of manufactories and trade in electrical and electronic products • Strong understanding of China GAAP preferred • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint • Strong experience on Oracle, Onestream familiarity preferred • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese / Mandarin • Hands-on experience on communicating with tax and other government agencies • Good communication skills with management and cross functional teams; team spirit facilitator • Get along well with pressures Specialised knowledge required • Familiarity with Macau and PRC Tax/Accounting law, as well as US GAAP and International Accounting Standard • Familiarity with class B Macau company tax submission preferred Familiarity with financial considerations of international trade preferred Interested parties please apply with full resume, state current and expected salaries via email at jobmo@hotmo.com.
