Responsibilities

Set up and optimize high-availability and clustering solutions
Manage vendor datasets (pricing, security, fund performance, economic)
Performance tuning for SQL Server stored procedures, functions, views, SSIS packages and SSRS reports
Participate in enterprise wide security audits
Ensure SQL data assets are available for use by applications
Assists in the design of data models and physical databases, data dictionaries and schemas
Installs, upgrades and tests database software
Monitors database environment
Monitors database growth and activities
Manage development, QA/UAT and production environments
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an IT field related to database administration
A minimum of five years of full-time SQL Server Database Administration and/or Engineering experience
Knowledge and understanding of MSSQL High Availability and Disaster Recovery options and where those technologies would apply to fill a requirement
The ability to troubleshoot and resolve database performance problems using native monitoring tools
Experience with Windows Server and the proper disk configuration and layout to support large, scalable SQL Server environments
Basic knowledge of Reporting Services and scale-out SSRS farm configurations
