Senior Technician - IT Office

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Perform daily monitoring, analysis and administration of technology operations.
- Responsible to administer integrated technology environment including SAN, AIX, VMware, Linux, Windows, Web Server, MS-SQL, Oracle, AD and Exchange, etc.
- Ensures high availability and acceptable levels of performance of mission critical server resources.
- Perform and supervise installation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance of all aspects of the Hospital’s network and infrastructure (including Data, Voice and Wireless network);
- Troubleshooting for network quality issues, including data network, voice network, WiFi network, and also network security issues.
- Out of hours’ work, such as rostered on-call work and response to Priority 1 incidents;
- Perform hands-on trouble shooting, setup and configuration of integrated systems.
- Manage and support other projects as required.
- Follow and maintain standards and practices on documentations and operations.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology discipline, or extensive equivalent professional experiential learning, with extensive experience and expertise;
- Certification in a project management discipline, MCSE and CCNP highly desired

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in installing, configuring and maintaining large enterprise Windows and network environment;
- Support experience with SAN, AIX, VMware, Linux, Windows, Web Server, MS-SQL, Oracle, AD and Exchange technologies
- Hands on experience in Layer 2 & Layer 3 protocols
- Hands on experience in firewall products

Technical:
- Working knowledge of administration database applications (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, etc).
- Working knowledge on SAN, AIX, VMware, Linux, Windows, Web Server, MS-SQL, Oracle, AD and Exchange technologies, etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge of network security appliances [ASA / TrendMicro / PaloAlto / Peplink / Pulse Security / etc.];
- Excellent advanced knowledge of network environments and technologies (including layer 2 and 3 equipment, NGFW, etc.);
