Principal Accountabilities:
The jobholder’s main role is to increase market penetration and profitability of international customers whilst maximizing total contributions to the Bank. Credit proposals submitted for approval carrying his/her recommendations must be ensured to comply with all internal/external directives. The jobholder is to increase HSBC CIB – Global Network Banking profile.

Key Accountabilities / Impact on Business

• Develop new customer relationships with particular emphasis clients with cross-border banking opportunities between Macau and other countries.
• Maintain and develop relationships with overseas and key internal and external stakeholders
• Maximize relationship return through quality account planning, and close collaboration with product partners and other global businesses.
• Deliver excellent banking services, integrating our capabilities into solutions to address customers' strategic needs in the region
• Apply industry and credit expertise to manage a portfolio of commercial relationships in various industry sectors
• Implement Global Standards at all stages of the customer onboarding and relationship management lifecycle
• Ensure compliance on all regulatory, financial and legal requirements
• Apply robust compliance monitoring and risk assessment necessary to ensure quality lending and safeguard the bank from potential loss;
• Apply highest standards to safeguard against Financial Crime Risk.

Experience, Skills and Qualification

• At least 10 years Corporate Banking experience preferrable in front-line roles, including exposure to sales, credit and lending, risk assessment, and transactional banking experience.
• Evidence of building long term customer relationships and achieving stretching revenue goals
• Wide breadth of product knowledge especially GPS, GTS, MSS, structured lending products.
• Understanding of regulatory challenges or other requirements and restrictions within HSBC group offices.
• Well-developed interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills with highly motivated and prepared to accept challenges mindset.
• Outstanding communication skills and experience of communicating with all levels of staff and external clients.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both English and Chinese. Proficiency in Portuguese would be a plus.
