Position Summary • Provide sales coverage and execute the sales action plan developed by Assistant Vice President – Customer Development.• Maintain & promote the brand awareness of Galaxy Macau and the Hotel within the trade and public. • Achieve predetermined sales revenue target of the hotel through effective sales & promotional activities in Greater China Market. • Balance the needs between Hotel, customers and stakeholders to influence decision making and buying behaviors for the best financial result of all mentioned parties. • Update of competitor activities, changes in market situation and or consumers needs / behaviors for Assistant Vice President – Customer Development and or Marketing Service Team to make sensible alteration or adjustment of the Sales & Marketing Plan. Primary Responsibility • Assist in identifying market needs and trends in trade, defining the key target markets (Greater China) / segments, monitoring and analyzing competitors’ sales promotion and activities. • Implement an effective sales plan and promotional activities for the Hotel; to organize an effective selling approach to be used by members of the sales team; to conduct sales calls and to develop and maintain new potential, productive accounts locally and Greater China markets. • Maintain an efficient customer profile and filing system to ensure all sales activity is managed effectively. • Generate, develop, promote and solicit accommodation, resort facilities, handle MICE sales leads. • Assist to implement and monitor an efficient administration system of the Leisure sales team to ensure a smooth and effective operation. • Conduct Greater China sales trips; attend local functions, trade shows and promotion to maintain a high level of exposure for the Hotel in all markets. • Keep up-to-date of market trends to identify new/potential business opportunities. • Develop and maintain strong working relationship with Hotel operation teams to ensure good communication of customer needs in achieving high level of guest satisfactions. • Complete other duties as assigned. Requirements • Provident in English, Mandarin & Cantonese. Other language is a plus. • Aggressive, initiative and self-confident. • Established relationship with corporate and travel industry partners in Greater China Market. • Proven track record of success within the hotel sales field. • Good understanding of China, Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macau Tourism and Travel Industry including airlines. • Strong sales and presentation skill. • Good planning and prioritizing skills. • Strong inter-personal relationship and communication skills, both internal and external. • Able to analyze market information and make recommendation in formulating promotional packages / programs for the targeted markets / segments. • Effective evaluation and problem-solving skills when dealing with clients. • Capable in decision-making to be supported by sound and well thought out proposals • Good sense of commercial value in business negotiations
