Assistant Finance Manager

 Responsibilities:

  • Taking responsibility for the planning and execution of financial duties and projects of a company.
  • Preparing financial statements, reports, and forecasts for the business to ensure financial stability.
  • Assist in the review of reports, analyse projections of sales and income against actual figures and suggests methods of improving the planning process
  • Drafting budgets, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, tax returns, and reports required by regulatory authorities.
  • Compiling financial reports and supervising month-end processes.
  • Managing and monitoring metrics, KPI tracking, and reports for the financial department.
  • Forecasting cash payments and anticipating challenges arising from limited cash flow;
  • Working with executives and business heads to prepare budgets and track profit / loss performance by business unit and on consolidated basis;
  • Coordinate with all departments and provide administrative support.
  • Providing advice on financial matters impacting on the company as a whole;
  • Providing training to staff members regarding financial processes.
  • Taking responsibility for, and supervising the work of, more junior members of staff

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a senior financial position.
  • A good understanding of financial management obligations, especially statutory obligations and requirements.
  • Be an analytical thinker with strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Skills e.g. Excel, Words, PowerPoint.
  • Meticulous, Independent, Resourceful and Committed.
