Business Planning & Control Manager (6-9 months Contract)

Our client is an international luxurious retail brand and is now looking for the right candidate to support a short-term project.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all finance matters in Macau including internal control, cost analysis, sales analysis and communications with external and internal parties

  • Work closely with internal audit team on completing the annual internal control review for Macau market and regional team on their business needs such as operations control, compliance etc.

  • Responsible for the company's budget and forecast analysis presentation and strategic planning for the business

  • Perform full month-end closing, including accruals, depreciation analysis, P&L review and commentary

  • Maintain close communication with different departments, including all store managers, to address their business needs and discuss with them on solutions to optimize their efficiency and business

  • Analyze and develop ways to improve KPI to meet company goals

  • Perform rent analysis for potential rent negotiation of both existing and new potential lease

  • Conduct different analysis reports such as cost control analysis, new commission scheme analysis etc. to identify the effectiveness of the business to facilitate the regional team decision-making and execute said decisions

  • Prepare monthly and annual financial and management reports, conduct analysis and reconciliations.

  • Responsible for the management of company taxation. Under the Macau complementary tax law, submit the Group A and B financial statements.

  • Lead business intelligence projects by filtering and translating business questions and problems into structured analysis, reports and tools

  • Design, configure and develop tools to support Finance and HR processes

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent, with a recognized professional qualification will be an advantage

  • Minimum 8 years or above experience in finance / accounting with at least 3 years in management role, preferably in retail industry

  • Fluent in both written and spoken English and Chinese

  • Excellent analytical, management, supervisory and administrative skills

  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
