Customer Relations Assistant Manager

  • Sound understanding of business and a background gained from working in a customer-focused, fast-paced and multichannel retail environment.
  • Experience in creating and implementing mid-term plans & following up goals.
  • Proven customer focused mindset.
  • Self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Self-confident and assertive with the ability to influence through the use of customer insight.
  • Experienced in problem-solving and conflict management.
  • Proven record/experience of developing people & organizations.
  • Ability to make quick decisions.
  • Ability to communicate confidently and clearly in local language & English.
  • Good analytical skills.


  • I lead & manage both the Customer Relations team in Taipa Store & Pick-up Point team (PUP) at Macau Tower.
  • I contribute to the creation and operational implementation of the local customer relations’ action plan.
  • I support a customer-focused culture throughout the complete unit (include both Store & PUP) and ensure an overall easy buying experience. Ensure the efficient and cost-effective execution of the IKEA exchange & return policy, and a customer-friendly handling of complaints. Contribute to the building of business competence by supporting co-workers in their efforts to improve according to agreed development plans.
  • I ensure balanced operational excellence in daily operations to enhance the easy buying experience. Provide input to the service agreements and contracts with internal and external partners, such as the Customer Support Centre & external partners (e.g. Macau service provider), and support co-workers in executing those.
  • I implement the global solutions, services and tools that support self-service and self-choice during the complete buying experience.
  • I implement and follow up on the activities identified to remove hindrances and secure a customer-focused easy buying experience.
  • I provide an inspiring and motivating direction for the team and its individual members to ensure development and succession.
  • I ensure the right number of co-workers is in the right place at the right time (in both Store & Pick-up Point) to serve our customers and run the department successfully.
  • For Goods Handout area in Store, I secure product availability & clear customer buying instruction together with Sales team so customer buying process is complete & easy, & the daily operation is efficient.
  • For Pick-up Point, I aslo improve customer commercial experience by ensure product selection & availability together with Sales team. And contribute to environment by managing As-is corner (if have).
  • I educate my team to ensure they understand the IKEA concept and that they read and use the appropriate manuals and other education tools to help maximize our customers’ shopping experience.
