Gallery Operations Manager 


  • Ensure the smooth running of the gallery
  • Assess and select artwork
  • Manage the entire sales team and ensure that they are working to meet gallery target such as image, sales, customer experience, etc.
  • Strategically look at outstanding client relationships and also profiling of new collectors
  • Promote and sell artists' work, through both exhibitions and personal contacts
  • Plan, organize, present and market exhibitions and shows, including responsibility for public relations
  • Develop client lists by notifying potential clients of particular works and exhibitions, according to their interests
  • Extend the client database
  • Keep up to date with industry developments and market trends
  • Arrange practical training for team member
  • Build up a professional art retail team

  • Minimum 5+ years of sales experience in luxury/art retail
  • Degree holder in art or any relevant discipline
  • A strong analytical thinker, and ability to use data to drive improved customer acquisition strategies
  • Possess retail client portfolio will be a strong advantage
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and mandarin
  • Excellent organizational ability
  • Ability and confidence to deal with VIP and artists
  • Strong sense in sales and sensitive to commercial art market
  • Team player and the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Genuine interest in and enthusiasm for art
  • Strong brand building ability and drive the gallery in a right positioning
  • Physical stamina for organizing and setting up exhibitions
  • Knowledge in drawings, sculpture, ceramics, etc.
  • Effective time management skills
