Store Manager


To translate the corporate objectives into operational objectives at store level;monitor and manage the FENDI business on a day-to-day store operations through superior customer service, sales management, inventory management and effective staff management; improve results through creative and effective use of all resources, effective leadership, merchandise assortment and retail tools; prepare business analysis and propose action plan to General Manager, HK & Macau to generate sales and team development.


Sales Management and Business Development

  • Monitor and achieve store performance and profitability with relevant KPIs
  • Analyse the business, propose and implement action plans to improve results, generate sales for each product category and clientele
  • Demonstrate sales leadership for staff and set reasonable sales targets to the team with relevant to KPIs and retail tools in order to increase sales
  • Act as brand ambassador to strengthen/build relationships with VIP clientele/new customers
  • Be aware of local trading environment and its impact on our sales, including competitors' trading activities
  • Work with regional Marketing and Communications team to implement in-store marketing and promotional activities
  • Instruct and supervise staff in the correct execution of all company operating procedures, including merchandise
  • receipt, pricing, counts and sales

Staff Management

  • Manage sales force to achieve sales goals effectively and monitor their day-to-day tasks
  • Motivate employees to maximize team spirit, promote teamwork and maintain harmonious staff relations
  • Identify individual and team training needs and communicate these needs to General Manager, HK & Macau
  • Develop and improve individual's performance via coaching and mentoring exercises
  • Responsible for full spectrum on-the-job-training, conduct orientation on brand's DNA and spirits, practices, KPIs
  • Assist HR Dept in recruiting the most qualified applicants to meet store's needs
  • Promote and maintain harmonies staff relations
  • Determine the needs for coverage and define scheduling.
  • Supervise store personnel and enforce Company policies while adhering to proper procedures regarding disciplinary action
  • Ensure the proper management of staffing roster to provide appropriate store coverage

Administrative Management, Communication and Reporting

  • Manage day-to-day needs and administration
  • Review and submit sales and operational reports to management in adherence to company's KPIs and policies
  • Inform management of decisions and procedures relating to business made at store level and any staff issues
  • Provide clear and informative business reviews, product reviews and attend regular retail meetings
  • Oversees and ensure accurancy in daily invoices, petty cash, control invoices, instruct and supervise staff in the
  • correct execution of operating procedures, pricing, merchandise receipt, handle MOS/damages, product returns,
  • Take necessary actions to effectively control costs and ensure efficient operation in the store
  • Implement and support all security measures
  • Effective utilization of Retail Pro and its inventory management functions
  • Discuss with General Manager to ensure appropriate assortment for the store
  • Provide monthly qualitative and quantitative business/HR reports as stipulated by General Manager, HK & Macau and/or Regional office
  • Inform General Manager of decisions and procedures relating to business issues made at the store level
  • Obtain approval prior to implementation of new programmes or procedures
  • Adhere to and support business, merchandise, marketing and HR strategies from General Manager / Regional office

General Store Conditions / Visual Merchandising

  • Ensure that Visual Merchandising is consistent with Company standards, in order to maximize sales and merchandise turn
  • Review in-store & window VM weekly and work with Regional VM on installation of new window display for new
  • product launches

Cilent Management

  • Manage customer service quality, to meet customer expectations by offering excellent customer service standards
  • Improve Mystery Shopper Results with action plans
  • Implement appropriate CRM tools

Advertising, Press and Events

  • Suggest and propose ideas to the Regional Marketing & Communication team in order to promote the FENDI image and merchandise
  • Identify and propose appropriate magazines to Regional Marketing & Communication team
  • Work with Regional Marketing & Communication team in in-store events to maximize sales

(Education, professional experience, foreign languages etc.)

Experience : 

  • 5 years management experience in the area of fashion and/or retail industry
  • Experience in leading and managing a team
  • Strong passion and knowledge of the luxury retail industry

Education :

  • Tertiary qualifications
  • Written and spoken English, any additional Asian languages/dialects a plus
