Position Summary The Assistant Revenue Manager responsibility is to manage revenue management and distribution strategy of the hotels and manage day to day yield operations. He identifies and report on any constraints to maximizing the revenue potential. He provides supports to Revenue Manager, Senior Management in strategic planning and overall business goals relating to the Revenue achievement. The Assistant Revenue Manager will assist the Revenue Manager to ensure pricing strategies are based on informed decisions. The position recommends pricing and positioning of cluster properties. In addition, the position oversees the inventory management system to verify appropriateness of agreed selling strategies. Primary Responsibility Key Functions • Create and develop pricing strategies in conjunction with the individuality of each hotel. • Uses demand forecasting systems to determine, implement and control selling strategies. • Ensures that sales strategies and rate restrictions ae communicated, implemented and modified as market condition fluctuate. • Assist Validate in-house pricing & profitability analysis against external market/industry trend and for any potential gaps for profitability improvement • Responsible for assessing, analyzing and pricing group business strategies • Evaluate performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (OTA, FIT, tour operator, corporate, consortia, crew, groups, etc…). • Checks distribution channels for hotel positioning, information accuracy and competitor positioning. • Ensure all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity • Communicate Revenue Management objectives to all colleagues and Build and maintain strong working relationships with levels of staff • Own the full hotel inventory and ensure that the inventory is distributed to the market mix that gives the highest return. Give recommendations to our partner properties within Galaxy Macau and share best practices • Responsible for best practice standards to include: competitor analysis; environmental scanning; market modeling; distribution yield management; business mix yield management; length of stay yield management; inventory availability by channel; pricing control and new pricing concepts • Using computers and computer systems to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information • Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports, presentations etc… • Analyze overall monthly hotel performance and provide summary report with recommendations to improve long term strategies. • Analyses period end and other available systems data to identify trends, future need periods and obstacles to achieving goals. • Explores opportunities that drive profit, create value for clients, and encourage innovation, challenges existing processes/systems/products to make improvements. Tasks • Provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting; eg. Daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting; Provide data support for management and internal division review • Provide weekly dynamic forecast of expected results, variances and budget comparisons. • Collect the necessary information to establish a database of bookings and events on which the hotel strategy and forecast will be based • Update the sales planning and quote the group requests on a daily basis • Prepare unique report to review and update market rates and trends • Manage product pricing and costing, sales plan and develop strategy and plan in meeting company financial targets • Perform pricing & profitability analysis by specific markets or customers on ad-hoc per request • Track and report results against business targets; evaluate risks and develop and implement contingency plans • Assist to prepare outline for and support the annual revenue budget process. Requirements Bachelor’s degree 5 years related working experience within 2 years in supervisory level Ability to communicate effectively with Management & Team members Ability to perform well under high pressure Strong verbal, and communication skills Good analytical and numeric skills for fast data crunching. Good listening skills and the ability to anticipate business needs. Able to develop relationships with 3rd parties and the hotel teams. Capacity to read situation, understand environments and respond accordingly Well-developed interpersonal, adaptive influencing and supervisory management skills Experience with data, statistical, and data visualization tools Should be familiar with gaming knowledge Strong technical skill on Python, SQL, PowerBI, SAS or other programming languages is preferred Strong logical thinking
