Logistics Manager
BASIC PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
This position is a professional management role that require to lead a DI (Direct Import) / Warehouse Operation to transform company strategy of best-in-class supply chain in managing the shipment as per customer’s required shipping instruction, documentation, on-time delivery and ensure all DI shipment / Warehouse shipment on time delivery as per customer’s expectation and avoid any impact to the direct import sales revenue and executing continuous internal / external process improvement.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES: KEY OUTPUTS AND MEASUREMENTS
Manage daily operation for Inbound and Outbound shipment to overseas customers, China customers and intercompany orders.
Asia Hub Warehouse Management
Multiple Countries Consolidation Management
Supplier Development Strategy
Freight Management (Freight Bidding, Freight Cost Negotiation and Cost Control)
Interaction / Relationship
APO Leadership team
BU Leadership team (Manager and Director)
Managers/Directors in Suppliers and Service Providers
Leadership & Influence (For managerial level)
Subject matter expert in logistics planning
Manage a team of professionals in executing operation excellence to logistics management
Demonstrate leadership, planning and people development
Education, Qualification and training
Bachelor degree or above in Supply Chain/Operations/Logistics (MBA is preferred)
Recognized professional accreditation professional international logistics or professional management is preferred
Experience or skills required
require advance knowledge and experience in sea freight, air freight, China domestic delivery arrangement, in and out China customs knowledge and this person will require to manage inventory from Asia Bonded warehouse to our warehouse in Canada, EMEA and to US door.
At least 12 years working experience in Logistics with relevant industry/function with at least 5 years of people management experience and 3PL/Carrier Management experience (MNC is preferred)
Advanced working knowledge of ERP system, set up and processes (Oracle is preferred)
Advanced skill on PC and Microsoft Application especially Excel and Word document
Excellent command in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin is an advantage)
Experienced in business process improvement
Experienced in managing and motivating personnel
Specialised knowledge or skills required
Logistics Planning
3PL/Carrier Management
Project Management skill with Lean or Six Sigma experience
