BASIC PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The position is responsible for developing direction, goal, policy, and procedure aligned with the organization’s vision and strategy of best-in-class Logistics operations as part of end-to-end Supply Chain. This position leads the negotiation and the management of 3PLs, ocean carriers, air-freight providers, Asia Hub warehouse operators to provide flawless cost-effective finished goods movement. This position is responsible for developing the teams and their capabilities to further these goals. Job Responsibility:: • Develop overall multi-year plan for continuously elevating the performance of logistics operations to provide high level of customer service in the most efficient way to all the Business Units • Oversee logistics management for Direct Import and intercompany orders of finished goods movement to ensure on-time delivery in cost-effective solutions across all Business Units. • Lead the procurement for freight movement (ocean, air, domestic truck) with various providers including but not limited to the negotiation, the qualification, the allocation of shipping volume allocation, the tracking of performance metrics. • Lead productivity project by innovation and continuous improvement toward Best-In-Class Logistics • Oversee overall procedure and policy for logistics planning to ensure full control of finished goods movement from origin to destination on-time and on-cost with minimal risk • Lead and manage product export processes and documentations to ensure compliance with Regulatory especially for Medical Device products, legal requirements, import requirements at destination. • Lead the management of necessary infrastructure and solution such as local warehouse to best service the need of the customers • Manage the relationship with and performance of service providers (3PLs and carriers) to optimize the services to meet and exceed company’s expectation Perform service providers (3PL and carrier) development and project management; Lead and manage the logistics provider’s selection, qualification, freight rate negotiation, shipping volume allocation, and performance evaluation • Support WMS system and EDI development between 3PL and Oracle • Develop team competence by identifying key talents, providing coaching and training, and creating proper career path Qualification and experience: • At least 15 years working experience in Logistics with relevant industry/function with at least 8 years of people management experience and 3PL/Carrier Management experience (MNC is preferred) • Experienced in Logistics in multi-national companies, especially in the following consumer product segments: Health Care, Home Environment, Beauty, Housewares and Outdoor • Advanced working knowledge of ERP system, set up and processes (Oracle is preferred) • Advanced skill on PC and Microsoft Application especially Excel and Word document • Excellent command in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Mandarin is mandatory) • Hands on experience in handling certain internal system : Workday for HR, Oracle training for internal team, i-supplier portal for invoicing for the team and finance • Hands on experience in handling certain outsider system: Nexus booking system and other direct import customer’s booking platform (i.e. Expeditors, APL logistics, Century, ) • Hands on experience in understanding China & SEA market other than Macau and China bonded and non-bonded warehouse operation process for the team and able to handle value-added service within bonded warehouses. • Hands on experience in handling the certificate of origin application (i.e. Form E, RCEP and CPTPP) • Knowledge of HS classification • Recognized professional accreditation professional international logistics or professional management is preferred • Experienced in business process improvement • Experienced in managing and motivating personnel • Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodology
