Basic purpose of this position: • The VP of Global Supply Planning will develop and drive strategy to centralize the supply planning function for Helen of Troy’s as we transition our Supply and Demand Planning platform from Oracle R12 to O9 APS. • This Individual will work closely with the Assistant CFO and future VP of Demand planning, internal IT, O9 consultants, Radiant consultants, the business unit-based teams of supply planners, and our logistics resources in Asia pacific to craft the future process, hierarchy, and team to fully optimize the O9 supply planning platform. Post implementation this Individual will coach and lead the centralized supply planning team toward actively managing optimal stock levels, developing and managing inventory KPIs, and driving system and process improvements throughout the SIOP and IBP process. • This role will optimize the process for global inventory planning which balances customer service expectations with optimized inventory levels and ensures that supply capacity is in place to support. This role will partner closely with cross functional leaders and teams to ensure that the buy plans are aligned with the demand to achieve maximum inventory effectiveness. • This individual will be a key contributor to the SIOP and IBP processes in all Regions and will align closely with the functional leaders and executive team to address demand and/or supply risks, proactively address capacity or flow concerns, and make recommendations based on collaborative and fact-based data supported by root cause analysis. • This role will partner with our Macau based logistics team to optimize finished goods flow from suppliers through our global multi-node network. • Finally this role, as a part of our regional arbitrage ocean freight negotiations strategy, will lead the SEA logistics procurement and work concurrently with the Sr. Director of Global Logistics to align on annual freight agreements to best support the HELE business annually. Core Accountabilities • Develop the central supply planning function around the Blue Yonder tools to deliver optimized working capital investment while meeting service level expectations • Support the development of an optimized, global informed SIOP process that rolls up from each Regional Market and culminates in an executive level supply plan approval • Develop a communication cadence and a set of metrics to measure performance against inventory, delivery, and forecasting targets. Lead corrective action implementation in those areas where performance is not meeting expectations • Develop supply plans to support customer service expectations, and provide visibility of working capital impacts required to deliver upon commitments • Develop a process to continually balance and optimize inventory levels across a global multi nodal network • Forecast and manage inventory levels across all global sites to ensure supply plans meet financial objectives • In conjunction with Helen of Troy’s sourcing organization deploy a standard set of supplier metrics that manage our supplier delivery performance • Build the supply plan, highlighting any gaps or excess production that needs to be adjusted within the SIOP process • Lead supply review meetings within the SIOP process, providing an overview of capacity against demand, highlighting supply chain planning performance metrics and make recommendations on key challenges and decisions that need to be made to effectively run the business • Lead the SEA strategic logistics procurement as well as needed negotiations with potential suppliers Education & Industry Exposure • Bachelor's degree and at least 15 years of relevant experience with at least 10 years of leadership, multinational companies are preferred • At least 8 years of experience specifically managing global planning resources supporting multiple markets • Extensive leadership experience in global planning within the Consumer Goods Industry, especially in the following consumer product segments: Health Care, Home Environment, Beauty, Housewares and Outdoor • Extensive leadership experience with capacity planning and process improvement • Deep expertise in designing and leading SIOP processes within global multi-node environments • Strategic vision and business savvy balanced with strong operational integrated supply chain experience that can effectively create and implement a strategic vision to ensure excellence in a global marketplace • Successful track record of leading cross-functional teams within a global matrixed environment in global consumer products trading companies • Deep experience with implementing and operating demand sensing, multi echelon, AI integrated planning tools • Experience in building high performing teams with the ability to create the foundation for the future in a rapidly changing environment • Excellent influencing skills; confident, robust and happy expressing one's opinion.
