Position Summary The Specialist - Field Service reports to the Manager – Field Service of IT Operations & Support. The individual must have adequate technical skills to fulfil the daily support needs raised by the business users. The individual should have a strong technical support skill-set in terms of hardware such as PC, Laptop, Printer, Mobile devices, and software such as Desktop Applications and Operation Systems to all back of house and front of house business users. The individual needs to provide technical support on hotel guest internet service to hotel guests. The individual has to follow the instruction of the IS&T asset management process to ensure the hardware is checked, recorded, assigned, distributed and reclaimed properly. The individual will also perform the regular hardware health check and preventive maintenance to minimize business impacts caused by hardware failure. The individual will provide the support in different projects to ensure all required IS&T equipment and devices are deployed securely and properly. The individual also has to validate all wired and wireless network readiness for IS&T services in the operation areas. In addition, the individual may needs to extend the support service to Data Centre Operations for cabling and patching in the IS&T closet rooms. Primary Responsibility
