The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) is currently looking to fill the following vacancy in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FAH): Assistant Professor/Associate Professor (Ref. No.: FAH-AP73) Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Perform academic duties, including but not limited to teaching modules at the Bachelor of Portuguese-Chinese Translation Studies and Portuguese-Chinese Studies; 2. Work on R&D projects via design and submission of proposals to DSEDJ, and the Macao Foundation; 3. Publish research papers on International Academic Journals and Conferences; 4. Work with the Department of Languages and Culture, on the development of Pedagogical and Scientific Activities; 5. Work on the development of Programme Revision and Accreditation at the FAH, for the Quality Assurance and Enhancement; 6. Assist in research and collaboration with international partnerships. Requirements: 1. PhD Degree in fields related to Portuguese Language Teaching or Chinese Language Teaching, Language Sciences, Portuguese/Chinese as Second Language, Language Didactic, or Portuguese/Chinese Linguistics; 2. Work experience in the Translation Studies field and/or relevant studies; 3. At least 5 years of Language teaching experience; 4. Candidates with prior experience as University lecturer is preferable; 5. Demonstrate a good track record of Research & Development and Project Development; 6. Experience with Research Project management and proposal submissions; 7. Experience in creating new curricula at Bachelor Level or Master Level; 8. Proficiency in Portuguese and English, or Portuguese and Chinese; 9. Reading Proficiency in both of the Official Languages of Macau (Traditional Chinese and Portuguese) is preferable; 10.
