The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) is currently looking to fill the following vacancy in the Doctoral School (DOC): Assistant Professor (Ref. No.: DOC-AP74) Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Perform academic duties, including but not limited to teaching, supervising, preparing course syllabus and coursework assessment, developing research proposals, presenting results in academic meetings, and publishing in scholarly journals; 2. Assist in the daily operations of the Doctoral School by interacting with doctoral candidates, post-doctoral researchers, as well as interfacing with the respective scientific and pedagogical councils, academic units, and various boards and services of the University; 3. Work with the Dean and Rector in the process of designing and establishing international collaboration within the doctoral and post-doctoral programmes; 4. Assist in the development and implementation of the doctoral programmes and their different instantiations, such as cotutelle, double degrees, sandwich placements, special editions, e-learning delivery modes, and others as defined by the Doctoral School and the University; 5. Attend scheduled tutoring services, other Doctoral School and University curricular meetings and staff development, and university-promoted business and social functions, as necessary or required, both on- and off-campus. Requirements: 1. PhD Degree in Digital Media, Media Design or other fields related to specialisation or background in Audiovisual Content Development; 2. At least 3 years of teaching experience with modules in digital media, design or multimedia/audiovisual or similar modules; 3. Work experience in academic coordination of bachelor’s or master’s programs, delivered in e-learning mode is preferable; 4. Experience in open distance learning/teaching, applying formal pedagogical models ((a)synchronous or hybrid approaches), including digital pedagogical material preparation, teaching and management; 5. Proficiency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in Portuguese is preferable; 6. Macao ID holder is preferable.
