The University of Saint Joseph (USJ) is currently looking to fill the following vacancy in the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS): Assistant Professor (Ref. No.: FHS-AP83) Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 1. Perform academic duties, including but not limited to teaching modules at the undergraduate and graduate level of Social Work (Mental Health), and other jointly collaborative programmes; 2. Support and promote the Faculty’s objectives centered on excellence in teaching and learning through high-quality curriculum planning, instruction, and service; 3. Supervise undergraduate and graduate internships and research projects; 4. Conduct high-impact research and publish in high-quality journals; 5. Support in-service training project; 6. Be involved in tender proposals to the DSEDJ, IAS, and other funding bodies; 7. Ensure delivery of the Department’s contribution to the University and the Faculty’s strategic plans; 8. Support and develop academic leadership within the department and the wider community. Requirements: 1. PhD Degree in psychology, health sciences, or social sciences related fields; 2. Minimum of 5 years of full-time experience working in higher education setting; 3. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience working in mental health setting; 4. Credential received from the international community in the fields of expertise; 5. Professional license from a recognized regional or international agency; 6. Commitment to active engagement with students and colleagues; 7. Ability to contribute to the formation of strategy and plans at the faculty level, through engagement with the Dean and faculty colleagues, conducting environmental scanning, and assessing opportunities and risks; 8. Publications in peer-reviewed journals; 9. Proficient in English and Chinese; 10. Macao ID holder is preferable.
