Event Producer
MCI Hong Kong and Macau is looking for a talented Event Producer to join our team of talented event professionals to deliver in person and virtual for our clients.
What’s the role?
The Event Producer role will be a full time role, based in Hong Kong or Macau. Working with our clients to plan, execute, and deliver in-person, virtual and hybrid events and campaigns for clients across Asia, and delivering globally.
This role is particularly focused on our Macau-based clients, as such interested candidates based in Macau should apply as well, and those based in Hong Kong should anticipate frequent travel to and stay in Macau for work.
What will you do in this role?
The candidate will work closely within the operations team to develop and execute event and show experiences and activations for our clients. Our projects range from classic events like conferences, gala dinners, and staff parties, to incentive trips and thought leadership.
With a particular focus on the theatrical and technical aspects of our events, this role will develop and oversee projects that have a strong entertainment and theatrical production element. Ability to work closely with Audio Visual teams, Technical and Entertainment Directors, and to manage complex load-ins, rehearsals and show runs is required. The candidate will work with internal teams and external partners including technical vendors, creative designers, venues, and other suppliers in preparing proposals and budget quotations, then delivering events and campaigns on time, on budget, and to a very high quality standard. This is a client-facing role, and the candidate will have the opportunity to build relationships with our clients, as well as with the larger MCI talent network.
Who are we looking for?
The candidate should have extensive experience with planning and executing multi-faceted, complex integrated events, with an emphasis on the show and technical aspects, within a company or agency. Client servicing, project coordination, budget control, and communication skills are required. Candidates with prior experience in event agencies will be prioritized.
You will need to have:
Good command of both English and Cantonese
Ability to multi-task in a time-pressured environment
Willingness to travel internationally for work
Highly detail oriented, with strong budgeting skills.
Ability to work independently and display project ownership
Ability to collaborate with remote team members
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, regions and with vendors
Good communication & interpersonal skills
Knowledge in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Powerpoint, as well as other event software (ie AutoCad or Adobe CS) and virtual event platforms.
At least 7 years of experience (either as an in-house event planner or in an agency)
