Senior Project Manager
MCI Hong Kong and Macau is looking for a versatile event professional with experience producing events of various scale, especially in the sectors of corporate, finance, tech and luxury. You are passionate and down-to-earth; you are good at juggling between different roles and tasks while helping clients finding the best solutions to create the best customer experience.
What’s the role?
The Senior Project Manager role will be a full time role, based in Hong Kong. Working with our clients to plan, execute, and deliver in-person, virtual and hybrid events and campaigns for clients across Asia, and delivering globally.
This role is particularly focused on our luxury clients, so if you are a creative thinker, art & luxury lover with a business mind, and a superpower in production, time management, puzzle solving, we would love to hear from you!
What will you do in this role?
The candidate will work closely within the operations team to develop and execute event and show experiences and activations for our clients. Our projects range from events like conferences, gala dinners, shows, product presentation, to incentive trips, VIP/VIC experience, exhibitions to in-store, pop-up activations.
Overall project management incl. but not limited to: production, operations, logistic, timeline, budgets, vendors and internal communication.
Responsible for the smooth delivery of each project from the pitch to execution phase. Working closely with our internal and external partners, driving the entire project process with professionalism, positivity and creativity.
This is a client-facing role, and the candidate will have the opportunity to build relationships with our clients, as well as with the larger MCI talent network.
Who are we looking for?
The candidate should have extensive experience with planning and executing multi-faceted, complex integrated events, with an emphasis on the production and logistic aspects, within a company or agency. Client servicing, project coordination, budget control, and communication skills are required. Candidates with prior experience in event agencies will be prioritized.
You will need to have:
Good communication & interpersonal skills, good command of both English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin)
Ability to multi-task in a time-pressured environment, ability to think fast and manage competing priorities with efficiency and accuracy.
Highly detail oriented, with strong budgeting and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and display project ownership
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, regions and with vendors
Willingness to travel internationally for work
A can-do attitude and always-learning mindset
Knowledge in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and Powerpoint, as well as other event software (ie AutoCad or Adobe CS) and virtual event platforms.
At least 7 years of experience (either as an in-house event planner or in an agency)
