BASIC PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
This multi-functional position is responsible for leading the finance, supply chain, and logistics operations functions within the global sourcing organization.

This includes collaboration with sourcing organization leadership and team to co-develop and implement supplier strategy to ensure sustainable, robust cost-side financial results; drive business execution to deliver continuity of supply through capacity planning and supplier development initiatives; and achieve consistently better than market index results in ocean freight logistics pricing and execution.

This role leads cross functional teams to continually expand both business controls and supplier influence to deliver progressive KPI metrics in cost savings, cash flow management, on time delivery, reduced lead times, ocean freight rates, and freight utilization.

This role is responsible for engagement with corporate and BU stakeholders to coordinate business strategy and execution and also presentation of global sourcing financial results to group executive management.

Lastly this role is responsible for providing tactical guidance and leadership to diverse local teams driving toward both identifying and evaluating further opportunities and also ensuring prioritization and efficient allocation of resources; all to deliver best in class financial and operational results.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Provide financial update on sourcing operation to executive leadership, Corporate and BU stakeholders, and sourcing leadership.
• Collaborate with senior operation leadership to set strategic multi-year, annual, and short-term goals; establish and improve measures of performance and controls on execution; and build out action plan with relevant teams to overdeliver or recover on targets.
• Oversee supply planning function for all business units, develop strategy, and drive action to deliver progressive Supply Chain KPI results through vendor’s production capability review, capacity and raw material/WIP inventory planning to ensure risk mitigation, material availability and liability control for all BU.
• Lead the team on providing the processes, tools and expertise to bring all departments together to achieve accurate and effective demand planning and execution of production and inventory strategies in APAC region
• Lead team to identify and execute supplier development opportunities to continually improve execution and KPI within core supply base and also the supply planning process, procedures, and workflows for all BUs.
• Develop overall multi-year plan for continuously elevating the performance of logistics operations to provide high level of customer service efficiently to all business units
• Oversee procurement for freight movement services (ocean, air, domestic truck) with various providers including but not limited to negotiation, qualification, allocation of shipping volume, and tracking of performance metrics.
• Oversee overall procedure and policy for logistics planning and execution for direct import and intercompany business to ensure full control of finished goods movement from origin to destination on-time and on-cost with minimal risk
• Evaluate the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; solicit, evaluate and apply suggestions for improving results, efficiencies, and cost-effectiveness
• Actively contribute in management discussion, providing specific points of view and recommendations to support the business
• Provide long-term strategic planning and P&L for strategic sourcing through the development and continuous improvement of financial models and monitoring internal and external trends
• Develop and maintain sophisticated, scalable financial models to evaluate business initiatives and performance, identify and lead initiatives on predictive and prescriptive analytical reports.
• Provide framework for financial decision making and share opinion and influence with local, BU, and corporate stakeholders on all supply chain issues from financial and supply chain perspectives.
• Serve as a critical advisor to proactively model various business scenarios to provide relevant suggestions to global leadership team to navigate uncertainty and enable agile decision-making and maximizing value.

Experience or skills required
• University degree in Supply Chain, Accounting or Finance related
• Certified Public Accountant is strongly preferred
• At least 15 years of progressive experience in multinational company Supply Chain and/or regional accounting/finance/FP&A role with focus on sourcing and supply chain operations, prefer with manufacturing exposure in consumer goods (electronics and/or medical) field
• Experience presenting to executive leadership, partnering with senior leaders on planning and strategic decisions, and leading execution within mid-level management
• Profound knowledge in planning and budgeting processes, financial forecasting, P&L management
• Excellent analytical, financial modelling and communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build internal relationships to achieve business unit objectives.
• Critical and strategic thinking, proactive and highly organized
• Hands-on and strong financial modelling skills
• Good command of both spoken and written English and ideally Chinese / Mandarin
• Extensive travel is required potentially including but not limited to various locations within Asian countries, European Countries and US

Specialised knowledge or skills required
• Knowledge of HK / China / Macau accounting & taxation
• Knowledge of international trade best practices
• Advanced understanding of controls, processes and capabilities of ERP systems (specifically Oracle), Microsoft office (specifically excel), smartsheets and other relevant applications to be able to direct multifunctional teams of different levels of competency to structure data, build models, perform and interpret analysis to deliver efficient, relevant, and actionable solutions and conclusions to the business
