Deputy General Manager for Retail & Distribution Businesses (Macau)

Position Overview
The DGM is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management of the pharmacy. This position ensures the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical services, compliance with local regulations, and the achievement of business objectives. The DGM will cultivate a culture of excellence, customer focus, and continuous improvement within the organization.

Key Responsibilities


  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth, profitability, and market share in Macau's pharmacy sector.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operations, including inventory management, procurement, logistics, and facility maintenance to ensure efficient and smooth functioning.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with Macau's pharmaceutical laws, health and safety standards, and licensing requirements.
  • Financial Oversight: Prepare and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, analyses reports, and implement cost-control measures as needed.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and develop pharmacy staff. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment with a focus on professional growth and customer service excellence.
  • Customer Service: Uphold high standards of customer service, address customer concerns, and implement initiatives to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, healthcare professionals, regulators, and community partners.
  • Marketing & Promotion: Lead marketing, outreach, and community engagement strategies to enhance the pharmacy's visibility and reputation.
  • Innovation & Improvement: Identify and implement new services, technologies, and process improvements to maintain a competitive edge.

Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree or above in Pharmacy, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in pharmacy management or a senior leadership role within the healthcare or retail sector.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, analyses data, and drive business performance.
  • Fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin is highly desirable; proficiency in English is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
