Director, Business Development

Role Overview:
As the Business Development Director, you will play a crucial role in driving the strategic growth and expansion of the Company. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and nurturing client relationships to achieve business targets. Your ability to understand market trends, identify customer needs, lead business development strategy and effectively communicate the value of the Company will be key to your success in this role.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop & execute business strategies to align with company’s objectives, drive business growth, increase market share and enhance brand presence in the market;

• Lead and oversee a team of salespeople to achieve company targets; managing the whole selling cycle including sales prospect, lead generation, RFP proposal/tender preparation; presentation, contract negotiation to ensure deal closings for revenue maximization;

• Keep well abreast of local government initiatives, develop strong networking relationships with customers/key stakeholders and maintain solid partnership with vendors/channel partners to maximize sales opportunities and profitability;

• Explore & identify new profitable business opportunities to drive both new customer acquisitions and existing customer upgrades;

(Candidate with less sales/BD experience may be considered as Senior Sales/BD Manager)

Requirement
• Bachelor's degree or above in IT, business administration, marketing or related field;
• At least 8 years IT sales/BD experience, minimum 5 years at sales manager’s role with proven track records; strong experience in major account management is an advantage;
• Solid experience in driving IT sales/business development activities, have track records in building successful and long-term relationship with government entities, corporate clients & vendors;
• Strong business acumen with excellent analytical, problem-solving & decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership and management skills with proactive, aggressive & result-oriented mindset;
• Persuasive with effective communication, negotiation & relationship building skills
