Director of Sales & Marketing / Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing
Job Description:
The Director of Sales & Marketing / Assistant Director of Sales & Marketing is responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies to drive revenue and enhance brand visibility. Key responsibilities include overseeing sales teams, setting sales targets, and analyzing market trends to identify opportunities for growth. The director collaborates with other departments to create promotional campaigns, manages budgets, and establishes relationships with key clients and partners. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role, along with a deep understanding of market dynamics and consumer behavior in the industry.
Responsibilities:
a. Sales Strategy and Revenue Generation:
1) Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve room occupancy, F&B and overall revenue targets
2) Identify and target new business opportunities, including corporate clients, travel agencies, tour operators, event planners and OTA
3) Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring repeat business and customer loyalty
4) Conduct sales calls, presentations, and negotiations to secure contracts and partnerships
b. Marketing and Branding:
1) Create and execute marketing plans to promote the hotel’s services, including accommodation, dining, and events
2) Manage the hotel’s online presence, including the website, social media platforms, and online travel agencies (OTAs)
3) Develop promotional campaigns, packages, and special offers to attract guests
4) Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all marketing channels
5) Proofread all marketing collaterals before publishment to ensure accuracy and consistency
c. Market Research and Analysis:
1) Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences in Macau’s hospitality industry
2) Analyze sales data and market insights to identify opportunities for growth and improvement
3) Prepare regular reports on sales performance, marketing ROI, and market trends for senior management
d. Team Leadership:
1) Lead and motivate the sales and marketing team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
2) Foster collaboration between the sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless guest experiences
3) Set sales targets and KPIs for the team, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s overall goals
e. Budget Management:
1) Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring cost-effective strategies
2) Monitor expenses and allocate resources efficiently to maximize ROI
f. Customer Relationship Management:
1) Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, corporate clients, and partners
2) Address customer feedback and resolve issues to ensure high levels of satisfaction
3) Implement loyalty programs and initiatives to encourage repeat business
g. Event and Banquet Sales:
1) Promote the hotel’s banquet and event facilities to corporate and private clients
2) Collaborate with the events team to ensure successful execution of functions and meetings

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
1) Achievement of monthly and annual revenue targets

5) ROI on marketing campaigns and initiatives
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in sales and marketing, with 6 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in the hospitality industry. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. Experience working in Macau or a similar market is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and CRM software
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate insights
- Proficiency in hotel management systems (e.g., Cambridge) and CRM tools
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed
- Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English
- Macau ID holder only
