Job Description:

• Assist the Data Operation Manager in optimizing database operations
• Support the management of QA, UAT, DEV, and Production database environments, including maintenance and tuning tasks
• Help establish and maintain documentation standards and procedures to support database operations and development
• Participate in capacity planning for new databases and assist in updating existing databases to meet business needs
• Review user access documentation on a monthly basis
• Prepare and assist in compiling database incident reports
• Communicate with vendors and the development team to help execute database patching on a quarterly basis
• Ensure effective backup and restoration procedures to protect company data
• Assist in tuning databases to enhance application performance and ensure reliable service
• Participate in the construction of database high availability and disaster recovery plans

• Bachelor Degree in Business Studies, Management, Marketing or related field
• Minimum 1 year of experience in IT technical development, with experience in database administration or computer programming
• Familiarity with one or more of the following database engines: Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB or PostgreSQL
• Basic understanding of ETL processes, systems administration, SQL tuning, and debugging is advantageous
• Exposure to enterprise database monitoring tools is a plus
• Rational Database administration management knowledge
• IT internal processes, policies and procedures
• BI knowledge is a plus
• Basic experience in SQL Server administration
• Knowledge of database best practices such as schema management and indexing is a plus
• Ability to assist in capacity monitoring and database tuning
• Proficient in using one or more platforms: UNIX, Microsoft or VMware
• Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese
