Our client is a global leader in air cargo handling and aviation ground services. They are seeking an experienced Head of Human Resources & Finance to lead its HR function in Macau and provide overall management oversight of the local Finance function. The successful candidate will lead the company’s people strategy and HR operations, while overseeing the local Financial Controller, who will report directly to this role, and working closely with the Group Finance team in Singapore to ensure effective financial governance and reporting.

Key Responsibilities
• Advise the CEO on HR strategy, workforce planning and organisational matters, and lead recruitment, succession planning, performance management, talent development and employee engagement.
• Oversee HR policies and procedures, employee relations and the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with Macau labour and immigration requirements, including employment contracts and non-resident worker permits.
• Promote the client’s values and people practices, and support a positive and engaged workplace in Macau.
• Provide overall management oversight of the Finance function and the local Financial Controller, who reports to this role. Finance staff report to the Financial Controller.
• Oversee the local Finance team’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management and reporting activities. The team will work with and report to the Group Finance team in Singapore for consolidation into Group reporting.
• Ensure appropriate financial procedures and controls are in place, and that financial reporting is accurate. The role provides management oversight; day-to-day finance activities are handled by the Finance team.
• Oversee relevant corporate administration and work with internal teams and external service providers on operational matters.

Requirements
• Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline. A Finance or Accounting qualification would be an advantage.
• At least 10 years of relevant HR or corporate management experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong experience in HR strategy, workforce planning, employee relations and HR governance, with the ability to advise senior management.
• Experience overseeing a Finance function or working closely with finance professionals on budgeting, financial reporting and controls. A hands-on accounting background is not required.
• Good understanding of Macau labour and immigration requirements. Knowledge of local accounting and tax practices would be an advantage.
• Experience in aviation, logistics or service operations would be an advantage.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with high integrity and sound judgement.
• Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
