POSITION SUMMARY: The Assistant Manager of Process Improvement is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing process automation solutions with a focus on finance data analytics. This role will work closely with the Process Improvement Manager and finance teams to identify opportunities for automation, create custom report or tools, and ensure the efficient and effective operation of finance-related automation tools and systems. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Analyzing finance workflows, processes, and data to determine the best approach for automation (e.g., VBA, Python, SQL) 2. Designing and developing custom VBA applications, Python scripts, and SQL-based automation tools to streamline finance tasks and enable data-driven insights 3. Integrating automation solutions with existing finance systems and databases to enable real-time reporting and decision making 4. Providing training and support to finance teams on the use of newly implemented automation and data analytics tools 5. Monitoring the performance of finance automation and data analytics systems, and troubleshooting any issues that arise 6. Collaborating with IT and finance departments to ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of finance automation and data analytics solutions 7. Continuously researching and evaluating new automation and data analytics technologies and techniques to identify opportunities for improvement 8. Assisting the Process Improvement Manager with project planning, resource allocation, and progress reporting 9. Proven track record of driving process improvements and delivering measurable business results REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field - 3-5 years of experience in a finance, process improvement, or data analytics role, with a basic understanding of finance operations - 2+ years of experience in developing and implementing automation and data analytics solutions using VBA, Python, and/or SQL - Strong programming skills in VBA, Python, and SQL.etc - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to understand complex financial data and processes - Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with finance, IT, and cross-functional teams - Continuous improvement mindset and a desire to drive innovation in finance automation and data analytics - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
