Position Summary

Assist Senior Manager – Media Relations in the development, recommendation and execution of company’s strategic media plan and help build the best media perception in local and regional markets such as Hong Kong and the Mainland. Engage with target journalists and media channels, focusing on the Intergrated Resort/Corporate aspects of the company/business, build and leverage on personal relationships to communicate messages that GEG intends to disseminate; as well as collect market intelligence and monitor news reports particularly in Macau, Hong Kong and China.


Primary Responsibility

• Assist in the formulation and implementation of public relations strategies in Macau, Hong Kong and China in order to deliver the appropriate key messages to relevant external parties to strengthen GEG's corporate and CSR image in public;
• Identify, build and sustain relationships with local and regional media and media channels;
• Work closely with different business units to ensure our campaigns are publicized positively through our connections/relationships with the media;
• Gather factual knowledge and identify opportunities, assist in managing local issues and crisis when the media is involved;
• Assist in drafting corporate written materials, including media QAs, speeches, letters, advertorials, press releases and others as required;
• Responsible for news clipping and news monitoring/gather market intelligence and deliver such reports in a timely manner.

• Certificates and/or degrees in communications/public relations is preferable;
• At least 4 years solid experiences working in media/media relations/public relations fields;
• Experience working in the media and PR field is preferable;
• Good relationships with and comprehensive knowledge in local media;
• Understanding of the Chinese culture and Chinese way of socializing and protocols;
• Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese and able to communicate with different groups of people on different levels;
• Demonstrate team spirit and cooperation;
• Act with professionalism and integrity;
• Ability to work long hours and under pressure;
• Computer literacy and good customer oriented character.
