Our client is a Five-Star Hotel, they are now seeking an Assistant Director of Engineering to join them.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Engineering in leading a team of engineers and technicians in maintaining and enhancing the hotel's facilities, overall engineering operations and infrastructure.
Oversee the smooth operation of the hotel's mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, implementing preventive maintenance programs and energy-saving initiatives.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support their operational needs and ensure guest satisfaction.
Manage capital projects and renovations, coordinating with contractors and vendors to ensure successful completion.
Maintain compliance with all applicable safety and regulatory standards.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technological advancements, and drive innovation within the engineering team.
Provide guidance and training to the engineering team, helping them develop their skills and reach their full potential.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in engineering management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental best practices.
Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with the agility to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
