POSITION SUMMARY: Manager – Media Relations will work closely with Senior Manager to develop and execute comprehensive media communication strategies to effectively disseminate the company’s key messages focusing on Corporate and/or non-gaming aspects in various local, regional and international media channels; engage with target reporters and media channels to build relations; as well as collect market intelligence and monitor news reports particularly in Macau, Hong Kong and the Mainland China. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Assist in the formulation and implementation of effective media communication strategies in Macau, Hong Kong, the Mainland China as well as other regions when needed to deliver the key messages to strengthen GEG's corporate and CSR image in public; • Identify, build and sustain relationships with local and regional media and media channels; • Work closely with different business units to ensure our campaigns are publicized positively through our connections/relationships with the media; • Gather factual knowledge and identify opportunities, assist in managing local issues and crisis when the media is involved; • Assist in drafting corporate written materials, including media QAs, speeches, letters, advertorials, press releases and others as required; • Responsible for news clipping and news monitoring/gather market intelligence and deliver such reports in a timely manner. REQUIREMENTS: • Certificates and/or degrees in journalism/communications/public relations is preferable; • At least 5 years solid experiences working in media/media relations/corporate communications/public relations fields; • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences • Sound knowledge on the industry and the major local and regional policy directions; • Good relationships with and comprehensive knowledge in local and regional key media; • Understanding of the Chinese culture and Chinese way of socializing and protocols; • Fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese and able to communicate with different groups of people on different levels; • Demonstrate team spirit and cooperation; • Act with professionalism and integrity; • Ability to work long hours and under pressure; • Computer literacy and good customer-oriented character.
