POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Manager - Facility Management, the Operator is responsible for execution of standards for controlling and supporting of the daily Data Centre administration and operations duties. This includes production controls, environmental monitoring, equipment health checks, access control, asset management, crisis and incident management, configuration management, management reporting, and data centre capacity management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform day-to-day operations of the group data centre infrastructure and ELV rooms across GEG properties, including administration, operations and support.
• Monitor alerts from various monitoring systems and report to support teams according to the standard procedures
• Monitor regular backup of all systems and perform media backup tape management including offsite storage of backup media.
• Perform health check on data centre facility according to check list, implementation of the data centre infrastructures, including patching network cables, update rack diagram.
• Prepare shift report for changeover during end of shift and record and report incident to the shift supervisor.
• Perform administration on all IT premises and regular update on access matrix
• Maintaining documentation and inventory of the data centre infrastructure related hardware and software resources.
• Coordinates vendors and Engineering to perform regular hardware preventive maintenance.
• Assist in interfacing with the other key IT teams including governance, business continuity and disaster recovery team – to perform Disaster Recovery drills according to the DR plan.
• Creates, updates and maintains good technical documentation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be stationed in Macau.
• 24 x 7 shift is required.
• Diploma / High Diploma in the field of computer science or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 2 years experience in supporting large scale Data Centre infrastructure.
• Familiar with Wintel platform and IBM Servers, Cisco/Extreme Network System will definitely an advantage.
• ITIL will be definitely an advantage.
• Fluent in Cantonese and English.
