Position Summary: The Manager - Hotel Audit establishes operational and administrative policies for the effective conduct of a comprehensive audit function for non-gaming operations, ensures compliance with internal and regulatory controls and recommends improvements of controls and systems, directs the completion of daily and monthly journal entries and processes for month-end closing. Primary Responsibilities: • Oversee timely completion of daily audits. • Oversee timely completion of month end reporting requirements. • Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirments. • Implement controls to ensure that all audit findings are reviewed and corrective actions are taken. • Monitor ongoing efforts by management to adequately address audit issues. • Enhance the governance of system transactions by implementing precise accounting mapping and ensuring an accurate interface. • Hire, motivate, and develop direct reports by mentoring, coaching, and providing performance feedback. • Ensure that implemented internal controls are adhered to and recommend improvements when required. • Liaise with internal and external auditors where required. • Responsible for effectively managing the relevant balance sheet accounts and non-gaming cost center recognition accounts. Requirements: • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred • At least 5 years experience in accounting, with minimum 2 years supervisory or management experience • Previous hospitality audit experience • Previous experience with Opera and POS systems helpful • Advance skill for Micros Office Excel, Powerpoint and VBA • Strong people management skills and communication skills
