POSITION SUMMARY: Primary responsibility of Cost Control Senior Accounting Associate is to provide accounting and cost control support in various areas of F&B related operations to optimize cost efficiency, profitability, and financial performance. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Monitor and control daily food and beverage cost associated with restaurant operations. • Ensure that all financial records regarding food and beverage operations are accurate as well as prepare journal entry for month-end closing. • Analyze and monitor food costs, including ingredient costs, labor costs, and overhead expenses in Production Kitchens. • Calculate cost of individual recipes by analyzing ingredient costs, portion sizes and recipe specifications, and compare with actual cost. • Identify cost drivers, trends and areas for improvement in Production Kitchen and Restaurant. • Conduct inventory count, and work with BU to identify variance on overage or shortage as well as provide monthly slow-moving items report. • Conduct regular cost reviews and cost variance analysis to ensure cost control and identify cost-saving opportunities. • Monitor actual performance against budgeted targets and provide analysis and recommendations for cost control and financial improvement. • Collaborate with chefs and culinary teams to develop accurate and up-to-date recipe costing as well as other business partners and colleagues, such as F&B front of house, Warehouse, Procurement, Hotel Audit, to identify the error and follow-up the issues. • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. • Accounting or auditing experience and familiarity with SAP and RedRock are a plus. • Reliable and good working attitude. • Strong written and verbal communication. • Eager to learn. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Query, and Power BI is required.
